Productivity and susceptibility analysis of Indo-Pacific king mackerel in IFMA 711 waters

Abstract Indo-Pacific king mackerel has been long fished by traditional and modern fishers. The fish is a catch target species with high economic value in local export markets. fishing efforts for the have increasingly intensive. management which still lacking. concern is, continuous exploitation will make indo-pacific stock susceptible. condition should be measured based on productivity susceptibility parameters using analysis (PSA). study aimed to analyze sustainability of other caught gillnet purse seine IFMA 711 scenarios. analyzed species, i.e. whitefin wolf-herring, narrow-barred Spanish mackerel, longtail tuna, eastern little bigeye scad. results suggest that wolf-herring were moderate susceptibility, tuna low scad putting both at risk from activities. Also, data quality was moderate, while worst. Therefore, it necessary improve quantity scientific information wolf-hearing further studies.
